Anonymous Issues Second Statement for OpGabon – Video

Last month, Anonymous hacktivists issued a statement announcing the start of OpGabon, a campaign whose main goal is to put an end to the ritual killings that take place in Gabon. On Thursday, the hackers released a second statement.

The hackers say that the campaign has been a success so far, but they don’t plan on stopping here.

They claim to have raised awareness of the problem, and even Gabon’s President, Ali Bongo, and his wife have acknowledged the existence of ritual killings.

However, Anonymous warns that the killings are not the only problem in Gabon.

“OpGabon has concentrated on ritual killings but that does not mean Anonymous is unaware of the corruption and profligacy of the Bongo regime. We are willing to expand our interest in the Bongo regime to include financial transparency if we feel it becomes necessary,” the hacktivists stated.

“We won’t rest until legal action is taken against ritual killings of children in Gabon.”

OpGabon focuses on petitions, live protests and Twitter storms. However, as expected, some Gabon government sites have been hacked as part of the campaign.
