Nokia to Launch Lumia 925 / Lumia 928 on May 14
Next week, Nokia is expected to unveil to the world a new mobile phone running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, one that was long rumored to be the Lumia 928 for Verizon.
According to the latest rumors on the matter, the company is indeed preparing the unveiling of this device, but will also announce its international sibling, one that should land on shelves as the Lumia 925.
In fact, the company is said to plan the launch of Nokia Lumia 925 for the next week in London, at a press event that was announced a few weeks back.
The two smartphones will feature similar specs, including a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, along with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and 1GB of RAM, wpsuperfanboy notes.
Additionally, they will pack an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, the same PureView camera present on the Nokia Lumia 920.
Apparently, no wireless charging capabilities will be included in the device by default, but users will be able to purchase additional covers for it to enable the functionality.
According to WMPoweruser, the two smartphones will also land on shelves with 16GB of internal memory and with a 2000mAh non-removable battery, while being capable of delivering a 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, the same as Lumia 920.
The news site also notes that the launch of Lumia 925 / Lumia 928 might send Lumia 920 to the grave, especially since it sports about the same specs as the already available Windows Phone 8 flagship.
With no official confirmation available on the device as of now, we should take the info above with a grain of salt. However, a confirmation on it might emerge as soon as next week, so stay tuned.
