Chinese Attacks on US Companies Almost Back to Full Strength

It looks like the government-sponsored Chinese hackers that have gotten a lot of attention in the past few months, so much so that they went quiet for a while, are back with new methods but targeting the same things.

According to a report by security firm Mandiant, seen by The New York Times, the attacks are now almost back at full strength.

The attacks target US companies and organizations and are used to syphon information. The rate of attacks has reached 60 to 70 percent strength, compared to their peak before a security report identified the building in China where the attacks likely originate from.

While no one was actually thinking the Chinese would back down, even when faced with details leaking out, there was some hope that China would at least be more subtle in its approach. That doesn't seem to be happening.
