Thai Prime Minister’s Website Hacked
“I know that I am the worst Prime Minister ever in Thailand history!!!” reads a message apparently posted by the Unlimited Hack Team on the official website of the Yingluck Shinawatra, Thailand’s Prime Minister.
According to The Bangkok Post, the site was quickly taken down. Officials have threatened that the perpetrators will be charged under the computer crime act if apprehended.
An investigation has been launched and authorities seem confident that they can identify the culprits.
The PM’s secretary has stated that this is either the work of teenagers, or someone with political motives.
In the meantime, the Unlimited Hack Team has issued a statement denying any involvement in the attack. They claim that another group might be trying to put the blame on them.
The breach comes shortly after Yingluck filed a complaint against a cartoonist whom she accused of publishing a defamatory post on Facebook.
